Kary Myers (Children's Ministry Coordinator)Kary served as a teacher and then director for Lakehoma’s Day School. She received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She began serving as our Children’s Ministry Coordinator in 2007.
Doug Ryan (Youth & Family Ministry Intern) Doug is from Midwest City, OK. He is a student at Oklahoma Christian University where he is a Bible major studying Youth & Family Ministry. Doug is working with Lakehoma during the 2010-2011 school year.
Clyde H. Slimp (Preaching Minister)Clyde is originally from Decatur, TX. He and his wife Rachel were married in 1990 and they are the proud parents of Seth, Andrew, Matthew and Enoch. He received his B.A. in Bible with minors in Communication, English, and an emphasis in Preaching from Freed-Hardeman University in 1993. In 1999 he received his Masters of New Testament Text degree from FHU. In 2008 he completed an M.A. from Harding University Graduate School of Religion with a concentration in the Old Testament.Clyde has served as song leader for the Jacks Creek Church of Christ in Jacks Creek, TN; as Associate Minister for the Beacon Church of Christ near Parsons, TN; as Preacher for the Adamsville Church of Christ in Adamsville, TN; and as Preaching Minister for the Robinson & Center Church of Christ in Conway, AR. Clyde and his family began working with the Lakehoma church family in August, 2007. Clyde's heroes include those who work with children in need and those who serve as missionaries. He is an Advisory Board member for Eastern European Mission. He has been on numerous mission trips both stateside and foreign including efforts in Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Czechoslovakia, Nicaragua, and Guyana. Clyde has spoken at lectureships, retreats, youth rallies and in gospel meetings in several states. His articles have appeared in Power For Today, The Christian Chronicle, Church & Family Magazine, Gospel Advocate, Adult Bible Quarterly and other publications. In 2006, he studied biblical archaeology in Greece, Turkey, and Israel. In 2007, he was a keynote speaker for the Harding University lectures.Clyde enjoys family time, sports, playing guitar, and song writing.One of his favorite quotes comes from restoration leader Barton W.
