Lakehoma Church of Christ

Lakehoma Church of Christ wants to increasingly be a church that seeks to promote missions to reach and touch lives throughout the world. Here are some of the missionaries and compassionate ministries we partner with to touch lives for Jesus around the globe.

• Wishing Well (wishforwater.com) — Wishing Well is providing clean water in the name of Jesus and blessing many lives to God’s glory
• Marty Koonce in Rwanda, Africa — Marty and Louise both graduated from Harding University. During a career in retail management, God swung their hearts towards missions. They moved to Togo in 1997 to begin ministering among the Watchi. Since 2009, they have served the people of Rwanda.
• Kim Voraritskul (Thailand Mission Work) — Kim and his wife, Rebecca, live in Khon Kaen, Thailand, and work with churches across the region. They have a facility which meets the needs of students who stay there while going to school to study the Bible. He trains men to be preachers and when they graduate, they go back to their native part of the country to start up new congregations and to serve.
• Steve Raine (Canyon View Church of Christ in New Zealand) — Steve Raine is a missionary and serves as Principal of South Pacific Bible College where men are trained to be preachers.
• Larry Ware (Prison Ministry in Granite, Oklahoma) — Larry’s teaching and preaching has led to numerous baptisms within the prison. Rose is a tremendous helpmate to Larry in taking care of his office in downtown Granite. Rose also teaches the Ladies’ Bible Class at the Granite Church of Christ.
• We also give one-time financial aid to mission efforts, usually for individuals or other congregations. Sometimes this is done with special contributions. We have had special contributions totaling more than $35,000 in the last few years to buy and send Bibles to public schools in areas Eastern European Mission reaches. We had our first Mission Sunday in the fall of 2008, and have continued to see this day grow as a way to focus on missionaries and causes we support.

• Hope Harbor Children’s Home (Claremore, OK)
• The Tipton Home (Tipton, OK)
• Colorado Christian Services (Denver, CO — annual one-time contribution)
• Cherokee Hills Church of Christ Prison Ministry — This congregation oversees and is the central point of contact for the El Reno Prison Ministry.
